Michael Bint

and is currently Board Chairman. He graduated from the University of
Queensland in 1974 and became a member of the Royal College of Physicians
London in 1978 and Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians
in 1983.
Ian has special interests in Asthma, Cystic Fibrosis, Occupational Lung
Disease, Bronchoscopy and Sleep medicine where he has been involved
in numerous research publications.
He has worked in London and Canada and more recently has been a lecturer
for the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. Dr Brown has been
a Senior Visiting Thoracic Physician, Division of Medicine at the Royal

Edwards is a founding Director of Respiratory and Sleep Specialists.
He graduated from the University of Queensland in 1969 with
a MBBS and was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College
of Physicians in 1974.
Two years later he became a Fellow of the American College of Chest
Physicians. Bob held a position as a research fellow in the department
of Medicine at the University of Sydney where he began his research
and since has published numerous articles taking an interest in the
Influenza Vaccination, Asthma, Pulmonary Haemorrhage and Idiopathic
Pulmonary Haemosiderosis.
Bob also holds positions on the Thoracic Society of Australia and New
Zealand, the Australian Lung Foundation and the Wesley Lung Cancer Group.
Dr Edwards consults from his private rooms at the Wesley Medical Centre,
Caboolture, Mackay, Lismore and Darwin.

Leanne Gauld

Gauld graduated from the University of Queensland in 1993
with a MBBS and became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of
Physicians in 2001. She then qualified as a Paediatric Respiratory and
Sleep Physician in 2003/2004 just prior to completing her Doctor of
Medicine (MD) from the University of Melbourne.
Dr Gauld has worked in many hospitals around Australia, including Royal
Children's Hospitals in Brisbane and Melbourne, Sydney Children's Hospital,
and The Children's Hospital at Westmead. She is currently a Paediatric
Respiratory and Sleep Consultant at the Mater Children's and Royal Children's
Hospital, Brisbane. Dr Gauld has numerous research publications with

with Drs Ian Brown and Robert Edwards, Maurice commenced performing
sleep studies at the Wesley hospital in 1989. 2009 marks the 20th anniversary
of delivering gold standard service in sleep medicine. He graduated
from the University of Queensland in 1972 with a MBBS and was admitted
to the Fellow College of Chest Physicians in 1982 and as a Fellow of
the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 1996.
He has
a special interest and extensive experience in Intensive Care Units
(ICU) having formed the ICU Committees and founded "Modern"
ICUs in Brisbane. Dr Heiner consults from the John Flynn Medical Centre
and the QML Suites in Robina on the Gold Coast and from his rooms at
the Wesley Hospital in Brisbane. Maurice underwent extensive Respiratory
and Sleep training in Australia, Canada and the US and holds licences
to work in all 3 countries. He is a Founding member of the Asbestosis
Research Group (Wesley Research Institute), Advocate Adviser to the
Department of Veteran Affairs and is on the teaching board of Bond University
Medical School. In addition to his consulting work, Maurice lectures
